It is a beautiful country and it looks like you might be going through there. I was primarily in the middle of the country, but have some reccomendations for places to stay in Nairobi and Kisumu if you end up there. In Nairobi, I stayed at the Mennonite Guest House in the area of Westlands. You will meet lots of missionaries there, but it is reasonably priced and the food is good. In Kisumu we stayed at the St. Anna Guest House. The rooms were cheap ($15 a night including breakfast) and they have very good food.
