So, for these last couple of weeks, I think the monetorium is slipping a bit.  We used to be concerned with the question of whether to maximize and take advantage of home, eating, drinking and experiencing all we can, or minimizing and prepare for a different lifestyle.

I’d say we’re switching into a maximalist mode as things seem to have this use-it-or-lose it quality.  We’re constrained of course, but much more likely to join friends for dinner, have a cocktail at our favorite places and take advantage of what home has to offer.

In some ways, with work mostly behind us, the trip has begun and is currently focused on experiencing the people and places of our home is Seattle.

Hey Lee and Sachi,

There is a lot I would like to contribute but have little time. I know, sorry excuse. How long will you guys be in K-ville when you come this way? I am in Chapel Hill and it would be cool to meet up. I could show you some pics and give some suggestions, even though some things have probably changed since I was out and about. I am really stoked for you guys, not to mention jealous, and will definitely follow you guys and live vicariously through your experiences. It looks like you guys are well prepared and I agree on maximizing your current time, cuz the small comforts of family and friends will be missed. However, you will have enough distractions to keep the homesickness at bay. I must say that I personally missed PB and J's, and a few other foods...like Mexican. Load up on the small things before you go! Be in touch and let me know your plans and maybe we could meet up. If not, I will try to gett off my ass and write some things out.

Later, and safe travels...Casey

Hey Casey!

Great to hear from you man.  We should totally hook up in Chapel Hill, maybe on Dec. 15th or 16th...  I'll be in touch soon!
